Community Activities
Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)
Fellowship of men and women (adults or teens) sharing experiences, strengths and hopes to solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement is a desire to stop drinking – no dues. Meet every Monday at 8:00 p.m.
Adult Scout Leaders
Meet monthly as follows: Adult Pioneer District Commissioners for Boy Scouts meet the first Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Adult Round Table Leaders for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venture Scouts meet the second Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
Attachment Parenting International
Non-profit support group for mothers and young children. The children are welcome to attend. Meets the first Friday of each month at 10:30 a.m.
Home School Co-op
Group of eastside parents and children who home school and meet as a group all day 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays from August through May to work on projects.
Wellspring Home School Co-op
Group of Irvington parents and children who home school and meet on Thursday mornings 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. from August through May for the purpose of working on schooling activities.
Irvington Community Council
Open to the public. Discuss current topics that involve the historic district of Irvington. Plan community events in Irvington, including the annual Halloween Festival. Meets the third Tuesday of each month. Sub-committees also meet regularly: Irvington Community Council Executive Board meets first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Irvington Community Council Halloween Committee meets the third Monday at 7:00 p.m. from March through October.
Irvington Garden Club
Open to anyone interested in gardening. Community club involved in special projects and providing gardening information to the public. Meetings include a guest speaker and general gardening discussions. Main coordinator for the annual Farmers Market at Ellenberger Park. Sponsor annual Irvington Garden Tour in June. Meets the last Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
