The members of Irvington Presbyterian Church value the opportunity to support the mission and programs of the church in a variety of ways. Knowing that God gives different people different gifts to serve, here are some ways that church members practice their personal stewardship:
Time – Many members volunteer for service at the church as elders, deacons and trustees, as well as work on various committees of the church. Others contribute their time as a volunteer receptionist, as a Monday morning money counter or as a newsletter folder. Volunteers run our sanctuary sound board and, of course, teach our children in Sunday School. Many more members spend time at the church in other capacities.
Talent – IPC is blessed with talented people who are willing to share their talents. Musical people sing in our choirs, ring our hand bells and play in our Evensong band. Handy people change our light bulbs, run our printing press and paint our walls. Theatrical people, culinary people, loving people, caring people all find a place to use their talents here.
Financial Contributions – Each fall church members are asked to make a financial pledge to the church for the following year. The church then builds a budget based on these pledges that people contribute on a weekly, monthly or annual basis. In addition to cash and check donations, the church accepts donations of stock and other investment instruments.
Automatic Deduction: Some people choose to have their pledge automatically deducted from their checking or savings account. Click here for more information about this option.
End-of-Life Gifts: In recognition of the importance of the church in their lives, some people have named the church as a benefactor in their will. Your attorney or financial advisor can assist with this.
Online Donation: Website donations are also possible at IPC. If interested in this option, please click here.
We believe all contributions to the church are valuable and blessed by God. Thank you for offering your gifts to the church in celebration of the gifts that God has given you.
