In local Mission IPC is involved in the city of Indianapolis through financial support to the many missions and agencies of the city as well as providing leadership on their boards.

Wheeler Mission

Wheeler Mission located at 245 N. Delaware St., is the oldest social service agency in the city dating back to 1893. Their ministry to homeless men provides food and shelter as well as daily shower and clothing. You can obtain additional information by clicking on the link http://www.wmm.org/

Good News Ministries

Good News Ministries provides homeless men with an opportunity to rebuild their lives. Through housing and vocational training their mission is to break the cycle of failure and bring people to a full and satisfying life. Gennesaret Free Medical Clinic

Gennesaret Free Medical Clinic provides medical, dental, and wellness support for the homeless who have nowhere else to go. Staffed by Doctors, Dentists and Nurses they provide physical assistance through three different locations provide recovery apartment for homeless people who have nowhere to go following surgery to a mobile pharmaceutical van that provides medication. Westminster Neighborhood Ministries
Westminster Neighborhood Ministries (WNM) is located on the near east side of Indianapolis in the Westminster Presbyterian Church building, 445 North State Street. The mission of WNM is to prepare children for success in school and for success in life, as well as helping families struggling to meet their immediate basic needs. The pre-school program serves 10 children 5 days a week. The after school and summer programs include 50 children from Kindergarten through middle school age. Elements of the programs include academics, mentoring, tutoring, personal development, arts, sports, field trips, gardening, nutritious meals and snacks, and much more. There is usually a waiting list. The family programs serve up to 200 people a week and include a food pantry, soup kitchen, clothing closet, health clinic, legal assistance, English as a second language, and a Christmas Basket Program. WNM is completely dependent on the support of the individuals and organizations who believe in the work of the ministry. Westminster Neighborhood Ministries is a mission of Whitewater Valley Presbytery.

Irvington Churches Advocacy Network
Irvington Churches Advocacy Network is a ministry of the Irvington Association of Ministers. Located at Emerson Avenue Baptist Church our ICAN Assistance Center provides utility, food and transportation assistance to those in need in Irvington. In addition our director offers financial planning and serves as a resource into the many agencies throughout the city that provide aid and assistance to those in need.
